Can you tell us about the topics covered in the session?
This session will help physicians explore how changes in patient behavior and lifestyle choices impact ocular surface health and the overall contact lens wearing experience.recently published Tear Film and Ocular Surface (TFOS) Lifestyle Workshop Report We shared our findings on how various lifestyle factors, such as cosmetics, nutrition, and the environment, directly or indirectly influence ocular surface health. Inspired by the findings of this report, this session will help healthcare professionals identify contact lens wearers, provide information on lifestyle behaviors to maintain good ocular surface health, and improve the contact lens wear experience. We'll cover how to maximize it.
What are the key messages you want to emphasize?
As patient lifestyles and eye health evolve, so does tear film and ocular surface research, so this session will explore how physicians can use research and clinical publications to enhance patient care. It also aims to highlight what can be done. This session also recognizes that a patient's unique needs and expectations for contact lens wear may change over time, and communicates with patients in a way that helps them understand their evolving eye health requirements. Discuss the best method.
Who is this topic for? Who would benefit most from participating?
This session is suitable for physicians who want to maximize their patients' contact lens wearing experience. Practitioners will have the opportunity to peer-to-peer discuss a series of hypothetical patient case studies, each with different lifestyles and ocular surface findings. Regardless of experience, this session will help eye care professionals confidently identify contact lens wearers and provide practical advice and recommendations that take into account both the patient's medical history and the unique needs and demands of their lifestyle. We hope to support you in providing this.
What are the most important takeaways for participants?
Participants were encouraged to think outside the box and seriously consider how a patient's lifestyle impacts ocular surface health and understand the level of influence on their contact lens wearing experience. I hope that. Armed with knowledge of current clinical research and evolving soft contact lens material options, eye care professionals can ensure patients are informed of all available options, whether it's lifestyle advice or alternative contact lens materials. I hope that you will feel as confident as you do.
