Manama, Bahrain: The Labor Fund (Tamkeen) has announced the conclusion of the 8th edition of the Young Entrepreneurs Program (Mashroo3i 2.0) following a demo day held for the program's finalists. In the latest edition he completed his three basic stages of the program, with 11 finalists selected.
Mashroo3i 2.0 supports innovative Bahraini youth in pursuing their entrepreneurial ideas and helps transform them into promising businesses that contribute to the country's economic growth and job creation. We also aim to connect participants with experienced professionals to form future productive collaborations.
In the first phase, 60 teams were selected in various pre-training sessions. The focus was to help them realize their business ideas and allow them to pitch in front of a panel of experts. Twenty participants reached the second stage and received extensive consulting to accelerate project launch and prototype development. During the final four-week phase, finalists underwent intensive training in preparation for a demo day in front of a group of potential investors and ecosystem stakeholders. The training includes approximately 12 one-on-one discussions with experts to develop a project launch action plan, followed by finalists meeting with entrepreneurs who have previously pitched to investors. Four general training sessions were held.
Khalid Albayat, Tamkeen's Chief Growth Officer, highlighted the initiative's role in developing the skills of Bahraini youth, and the effort to empower Bahraini youth by providing support to entrepreneurs and start-ups. promised to continue. Through consultation with our mentors, we were able to prepare clear steps for the future. The event showcased 11 entrepreneurial ideas, each featuring innovative solutions targeting sectors such as technology, industrial and creative industries. These ideas can help create a diverse and rich landscape that spans local, regional, and even global economies.
The program is in line with Tamkeen's 2024 strategic priorities that focus on economic impact and private sector development, increasing economic participation through new job opportunities for new entrants, and increasing Bahraini's workforce.
