Fortune published its findings Wednesday after asking hundreds of CEOs to rank their most overvalued and undervalued colleagues. Fortune did not reveal exactly how many CEOs responded to the survey.
Musk, who was named the most overrated CEO in last year's survey, received 399 votes this year. Disney CEO Bob Iger came in second with 302 votes.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella received 274 votes and was ranked as the most underrated CEO. Nadella has held the title for eight consecutive years.
Musk maintains a busy schedule running multiple companies, from electric car maker Tesla to rocket company SpaceX. In 2022, Musk acquired the social media platform Twitter, later changing his name to X.
While Musk has been praised for revolutionizing the electric vehicle and commercial space industries, the billionaire has also been criticized for setting overly ambitious goals.
Musk has repeatedly delayed SpaceX's plans to send humans to Mars. In 2017, Musk claimed SpaceX would send its first manned mission to Mars in 2024.
