Dedicated fashion entrepreneur Shavon Lewis is making waves in the fashion industry with Closet Babe, a Coatesville store that offers an empowering shopping experience for women of all body types, writes Monica Ferguson. 19320 Go!
A passionate supporter of body positivity, Lewis has curated a collection of fashion-forward, trend-setting clothing for Closet Babe, available in sizes Small to 3X. She also encourages her customers to embrace their unique style and exude confidence, which helps them feel comfortable in their skin.
Obsessed with fashion, Lewis earned a bachelor's degree in fashion marketing from the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She then created her online platform where she can provide stylish clothing options for young black women with curves.
She took her online business to the next level in 2021 with hugely successful pop-up shops throughout the Philadelphia tri-state area. In 2022, she opened her first brick-and-mortar store in her acclaimed Coatesville Manufactured building.
Lewis, a Westchester resident, also serves as an administrative assistant at 2nd Century Alliance in Coatesville.
