Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino, located on 12 acres of spectacular beachfront property in world-famous Palm Beach, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lanette Torres as Director of Sales, Marketing and Events. Torres has over 15 years of experience in sales and event management. She has been successful in maximizing hotel revenues through market analysis, sales strategies and initiatives, and even brand development and marketing through her partnerships.
Torres' career in the hospitality industry began in 2006 as Group Sales Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, where she established extensive skills in strategic revenue planning, account sourcing and management. She has worked for many years in various hotel groups such as Accor Hotels, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Morgans Hotel Group, and Thompson Hotels before starting her career with Hyatt Hotels Corporation. In 2015, Torres was named Senior Sales Manager for Hyatt's Unbound Collection The Confidante Miami Beach, Northeast in the Corporate, Incentives, SMERF, Tours and Travel divisions, Responsible for the Mid-Atlantic and international markets. She was appointed Group Sales Manager two years later. In 2021, Torres will become Director of Commercial Services for Confidante, where she will target Sales (Group and Temporary) teams and Events (Sales and Planning) to achieve segment revenue goals. I led the team.
