Should this practice continue or should it be abolished?
Something very special happens when you become a parent.
It's like a switch that turns on when you realize you're a parent. Some people always envision themselves becoming parents one day, knowing exactly how they will raise their children, including their parenting style and the presence or absence of time-outs.
But some parents have had to go with the flow and learn as they go. There's nothing wrong with that.
The crux of it all is that each family has a different parenting style.

This brings up a question that many have touched on in the past: “Do you think someone other than the parent can give unsolicited advice to the parent?”
Stacey and J Sbu are asking KZN whether this practice should be kept or abolished, and I can only imagine what everyone will say on this.
In 2016, the women of “The Real Talk Show” tackled this question, and with a panel of both parents and non-parents, I thought the discussion went pretty well. Watch the video below, courtesy of YouTube.

In most cases, a general rule of thumb is that if you are not a parent, you should not give advice to parents.
However, it seems that some people can't read the room because they don't have a filter. What most parent bloggers say online is that non-parents find parenting so much easier.
For example, the dad blogger at ScaryMommy.com said he receives a lot of unsolicited advice from non-parents, but if it were up to him he would say:
*Please note that the following contains abusive language.
Non-parents: “Don't let them eat in the car. That way we won't make a mess. Problem solved.”
Dad: “Listen, asshole. Have you ever driven a car for more than 20 minutes with a crying, hungry toddler? Little demons squealing for graham crackers and constantly touching each other? Imagine yourself in sweaty moving hell complaining about it. Now imagine doing that.'' Every day for a few years, I tried to avoid driving my minivan into oncoming traffic. will do anything to keep the peace. Sometimes I feel like the back seat of a car is like a prison and what am I doing? I can only quell an inmate's revolt and it's probably just a fruit snack that's likely to get wedged in the seat. If you have to give it away, that's fine. ”

Contrary to popular opinion, working mom Megan Peterson shares an article with HuffPost that shows that non-parents have valid points of view and that we need parenting advice from our non-parent friends. did.
“Perhaps people other than parents can't empathize with the daily chaos and brain drain of raising children, but they do I have a valid perspective based on my own experience. Parenting qualifications are as much about the child's status as they are about how long you have lived (which may not correlate with age). ” (Huffington Post)
