Innovative master-planned communities are emerging in Houston's expansive real estate landscape. Dedicated to promoting a harmonious blend of health and balance, Jubilee is a first-of-its-kind development that redefines healthy living for Texas homebuyers.
Developed by Johnson Development, Jubilee sits on approximately 1,600 acres and is strategically located in Hockley off the highway. 290 near Cypress Outlet Mall. With 30 acres of parks, 270 acres of green space, and a serene waterway, Jubilee blends suburban convenience with a nature-centered lifestyle.
healthier home
What sets Jubilee apart is our commitment to a 'healthier home', with health woven into every aspect of Jubilee's fabric. Johnson Development is doing this by requiring eight of his award-winning builders to adhere to wellness standards.
“We really want to benefit the overall well-being of our residents,” said Haley Peck, director of marketing.
Each Jubilee Home includes:
- clear water: Reverse osmosis filtration systems in kitchen sinks, refrigerator water lines, and pot filler loops remove pathogens and impurities commonly found in tap water.
- fresh air: Fresh air intake and MERV 13 media filter provide cleaner air. Each home is also Indoor airPLUS and EnergySTAR certified.
- circadian rhythm lighting: Mimicking the natural changes in sunlight throughout the day, these lights adjust their color, temperature and intensity to match your body's natural circadian rhythm.
- Convenience and safety features: State-of-the-art technology includes a home automation panel, smart thermostat, secure smart front door lock, responsive video doorbell, flashing emergency lights on the front porch, and advanced security pre-wiring on all doors and first floor windows. It is included.
To further promote residents' peace of mind, each home is now certified under the WELL for Residential program, which uses a point system to ensure that a community meets a variety of criteria to improve quality of life. It is being constructed in. Peck said Jubilee was one of the first communities in the world to participate in the pilot program and the only one in Texas.
“We did this to develop wellness real estate specifically in Texas,” Peck said. “However, we also needed third-party verification to verify that Jubilee homes include all of the healthy housing features we claim. We want people to have peace of mind knowing that it is truly a healthy place to live.”
out of the house
Jubilee goes beyond traditional amenities by dotting wellness zones throughout the community that cater to residents' physical, mental, and emotional well-being. At the time of construction, Peck said Jubilee he plans to feature more than 20 wellness zones and walking trails, increasing connectivity to each zone.
“Physical wellness is already very common in master-planned communities…but what we're doing is adding this mental and emotional wellness component to the amenity. “And we thought the best way to do that was to really intentionally create these 'zones,'” Peck said.
Jubilee's wellness zones are divided into four categories.
- connection: These dedicated areas are built to encourage residents to come together and foster a true sense of community.
- expedition: Residents can immerse themselves in nature, interact with the land and benefit from ecotherapy.
- reflection: A purposeful, contemplative space provides a calming atmosphere for residents to enjoy time of quiet contemplation or simply unwind from the chaos of life.
- Inspiration: Think large play areas, artwork, and uplifting installations that will delight adults and children alike.
The community's grand centerpiece, called JoyHub, will serve as a signature amenity center, with plans for a pool, co-working space and event lawn in the first phase. Peck said Jubilee will eventually have some of these centers, with future amenities such as a splash pad, community garden, dog park and sports courts.
Peck said Waller ISD is planning for the future for Jubilee's young residents and has already approached Johnson Development about the possibility of building multiple school sites on the Jubilee property.
“Waller ISD is a unique and impressive school district,” Peck said. “I have worked with many school districts across Houston over the years, and Waller ISD's career and technical education opportunities, dual credit offerings through Blinn College, and the high school Drone His program really set them apart. It makes it stand out.”
Live at Jubilee
At the time of construction, Peck said Jubilee would have more than 4,000 homes. Homes in Jubilee's first phase of construction are currently available from the $300,000s. Model homes are currently being built by eight house builders.
Jubilee is planning a big grand opening called Joy Fest on Saturday, May 4th. The public is welcome to come and experience this unique community.
