Pediatric psychologist Anne Louise Lockhart
On Tuesday, February 27, Glenbard's Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will feature child psychologist Anne-Louise Lockhart's “Parenting Young Children Through Tantrums, Misbehavior, and Meltdowns” at noon and We'll be presenting on Zoom at 7 p.m. For more information and links to these webinars, please visit glenbardgps.org.
What should adults do when young children become upset, disappointed, or frustrated? How can they avoid meltdowns and tantrums? Lockhart says giving in, overreacting, nagging or punishing can perpetuate the problem. She shares solutions and lessons for caregivers.
Participants will learn the difference between meltdowns and tantrums and how to best respond. Lockhart explains how adults can regulate their emotions and suggests action plans to help children manage their emotions. She also provides helpful scripts for everyday interactions with children.

Lockhart is the director of A New Day Pediatric Psychology Clinic. She is a popular presenter and helps her families better understand and connect with their children.
