Mikayla Thompson is an Indigenous beadwork artist based in Washington, DC. When she was 10 years old, she moved to the Nimiepu'u Reservation in north-central Idaho, where she lived with her grandmother, Chloe Halfmoon, who taught her how to make beads.
Now, Thompson has turned beadwork into a business. Thanks to the recent success of Mikayla's beadwork, she was able to launch her second business, Indigenous Creatives, a creative agency that spotlights Native American artists.
