RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech ended its four-game series (0-4) at home against Northern Colorado with an 8-0 win Sunday night.
Louisiana Tech (4-0)'s offense worked well Sunday as the Bulldogs scored eight points and had eight hits. The Bulldogs' offense began in the bottom of the third inning with a single by Logan McLeod. Kasten Farr singled into the left field seats, followed by a walk by Ethan Bates to load the bases. Bates extended his streak on base to 27 games with a free pass.
Dalton Davis walked in his second at-bat, extending his streak to 14 bases and taking a 1-0 lead. Catcher Jorge Corona reached on an error by Northern Colorado shortstop, allowing Ethan Bates and Kasten Farr to score.
Outfielder Adarius Myers singled to left field, and first baseman Dalton Davis scored, giving Tech a 4-0 lead.
Second baseman Michael Ballard hit a single (one RBI) in the bottom of the fifth inning, increasing the Bulldogs' lead to 5-0.
Davis hit a double (2 RBIs) down the left field line, extending his hitting streak to 14 games and giving LA Tech a 7–0 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Corona's single (2 RBIs) in the bottom of the 8th inning gave Tech an 8-0 lead and the game ended.
Tech's pitching was excellent on the mound, with five pitchers combining for eight strikeouts and one walk on Sunday. Kayden Copeland began his first career in the tech industry on Sunday. Copeland pitched five innings, striking out four and allowing two hits. Junior Copeland faced 18 batters on the mound and allowed two hits.
Pearl River transfer Blake Hooks took the mound for the first time at Louisiana Tech. Although he only pitched one inning, Fuchs allowed just one hit and struck out two.
Jacob Haven had one strikeout and one hit.
Senior Isaac Crabb finished the game for the Bulldogs with one strikeout and one walk. Ryan Haaland also pitched one inning for the Bulldogs.

Louisiana Tech will play three consecutive home games from Feb. 23-25, with first pitch scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m.
