During Mr. Marker's tenure, the YWCA of Northeast Kansas increased total public support by 87% and was able to secure significant funding from businesses and individuals. “The departure of Alison Marker is bittersweet,” said YWCA Northeast Kansas President Kathleen Marker. “Under her leadership, this organization has experienced unprecedented growth and success in community engagement and fundraising.” Marker is a national women- and minority-owned consulting firm headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. He will be transitioning into a new role as a senior strategist at his company, Advocacy & Communication Solutions. Van Waleghem will officially assume the role of Director of Community Engagement on March 4th. Ms. VanWaregem leverages her years of small business development and her commitment to the YWCA's mission, positioning her well to continue expanding the YWCA's public support and impact in the coming years. .
