Jasper improves creative work with Clipdrop
Jasper already supported art generation using an AI co-pilot that allows users to simply describe their creative ideas through prompts and then visually express them. However, if you are working on a complex visual campaign, just generating images is never enough.
This is where the acquisition of Paris-based Clipdrop comes into play.
Founded in 2020 by Google alumni Cyril Diagne, Damien Henry, and Jonathan Blanchett, Clipdrop provides personal and business users with the ability to create new images, repair, remove/replace backgrounds, remove objects, and edit images. Provides a platform that allows you to edit existing images by upscaling, relighting, facial changes, and more. exchange etc. Users can uncrop images or create new images from doodles and accompanying prompts, developing a vast number of variations in size, detail, and style to meet the needs of their projects.
At its core, this entire experience is powered by Stability AI's models, including Stable Diffusion XL and SDXL Turbo. A user has two options available to him to get started. One is a web/mobile platform with free and paid tiers (enhanced features), and the other is an API for product implementation with usage-based pricing.
With the deal, signed on February 20, Jasper aims to integrate the entire feature set offered by Clipdrop into its co-pilot, making it even better for marketing teams around the world. However, this change will occur in the coming months. For now, teams using Jasper will be able to leverage Clipdrop's functionality through Jasper's API.
The entire team behind Clipdrop will join Jasper immediately to continue multimodality research within the company's co-pilot using proprietary technology. The team will remain based in Paris and Henry will take on a greater leadership role in research and innovation across Jasper products.
“There is natural synergy between our two companies, with a clear focus on creating the best multimodal platform for marketers. I can’t wait to get started,” Henry said in the release. Stated.
Notably, Clipdrop plans to continue offering subscriptions as a standalone product through its own website.
Stability plans to support Clipdrop's technology in its own models
It remains to be seen how Clipdrop and Jasper will evolve post-acquisition, but Stability AI, which recently debuted Stable Diffusion 3.0 to reinvent text-to-image generative AI, will continue to support Clipdrop in its model. He says he will support it. The company acquired the tool in March 2023 for an undisclosed amount.
