Kinetic’s Black Business Support Fund is now accepting applications

Little Rock, AR, February 22, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–In honor of Black History Month, Kinetic is once again proud to announce that the Kinetic Black Business Support Fund is now accepting applications for the 2024 season.
Kinetic established this fund to provide Black small business owners across Kinetic's 18-state footprint with greater access to exclusive funding for their businesses. The initiative aims to address disparities in traditional funding sources by providing financial subsidies to Black-owned businesses.
Since its founding in 2020, Kinetic BBS Fund has awarded more than $300,000 in grants. In addition to funding, each selected company will receive one year of free internet service and business counseling. The service is designed to provide Black businesses with the digital tools and connectivity they need to succeed in today's fast-paced marketplace.
“The goal of this fund is not just to provide financial support, but to help these companies thrive and sustain their businesses over the long term,” said Lorenzo Clark, National Vice President of Consumer and Business Digital Sales at Kinetic. If selected, each small business grant recipient will receive $2,500 in cash and one year of free internet for business use. Selected companies will also be eligible for free consultation from Kinetic on processes and products that can improve efficiency and increase the profitability of their business.

Applications are now open and all eligible Black-owned small businesses are encouraged to apply and join the more than 100 small businesses that are receiving grants to strengthen their businesses.
To be eligible for Black Business Support Fund grants, businesses must:

Be a new or existing small business in a market served by Kinetic and receive broadband internet from Kinetic.

Be Black-owned and have 25 or fewer employees.

Not currently undergoing bankruptcy proceedings.

Not a nonprofit organization, liquor store, check casher, gun store, pawn shop, or sex shop.

You cannot apply for multiple projects.
Funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants should check the Black Business Support Fund website for details on terms and conditions and application process.
