The Stillman School's Department of Business, Continuing Education, and Professional Studies (CEPS) research team has published the 2024 edition of the annual IRB-approved study, “The Future of Leadership Study: Insights and Insights into the Future of Leadership from Future Leaders.” announced. . ”
The research team conducted a global study in 2023. The survey was distributed to Seton Hall University students and alumni as well as target audiences across North America, including the U.S. military, Latin America, the European Union, China, Japan, Singapore, and Africa, and received more than 5,000 responses. In addition to providing insight into the leadership perspectives surveyed in the 2021 and 2022 editions, the 2023 study aimed to understand the impact of remote work on leadership development. The study found that remote work does not hinder productivity, and the lack of remote work is not the main cause of job dissatisfaction. Pay is the main cause of job dissatisfaction around the world. The study also found that leadership development in hybrid work environments is becoming normalized. Leaders communicate effectively, there is plenty of collaboration, and people have ample work opportunities to stretch beyond their comfort zones. Additionally, respondents want and expect their employers to invest more in leadership development. But of concern to employers is the finding that 70% of their employee base is at risk of leaving their jobs at any given time.Full survey results available here.
