A bride who sent her bridal party a 14-page contract containing outrageous demands has been branded an “absolute monster”.
The bridesmaids were looking forward to their college friend Laura and her fiancé James' wedding in April.
“We started making all our plans and had multiple meetings to make sure everyone was up to date on all plans,” the bridesmaid said in a thread on Reddit .

“She's kind of a neat person, very methodical. She made all five bridesmaids and her maid of honor organize our duties…we… We're tracking appointments and vendors – pretty standard stuff.
“But there's more to it than that.”
Bridesmaids took particular issue with the bride's strict list of requirements. All brides and grooms must wear size 8 dresses, tattoos must be covered or removed, and brown eyes are prohibited.
The list included 12 strange rules about hair, makeup, nails, dress size, jewelry, and body appearance.
“There are no visible tattoos. They need to be removed or covered with makeup. There are no jackets or long sleeves to cover them,” the bride said.
“Hair all over your head. Don't shave the sides or back either. If the haircut is unacceptable, you'll need to have a wig professional fit it.”
“The hair should not be too short either. It should be possible to braid it. Also, if the hair is long to the waist, it will need a cut. The hair should be blonde or black. I will tell you which colors suit you.
“I have to wear a size 8 dress. I don't want to see tents (too big) or rolls (too tight). Dresses are ordered in size 8 only.
“I don't have brown eyes. That's James's and mine's eye color, so I have to buy contacts. Blue is a must.”
Other things prohibited in the bridal party include “severe tanning,” visible scars, and glasses.
“Get your contact information or go empty-handed for the day,” the bride added.
The bridesmaid was furious at the request and felt the rules were directed at her.
“This is where I started backpedaling and wanted to walk away,” she said.
“My hair is very thick but thin. I shave the sides and keep the top and back about half the length of my back. This helps with migraines.
“I also have an Eeyore tattoo and a bear paw tattoo. I also just had bariatric (gastric sleeve) surgery, so I'm working on losing weight. I even have glasses.”
When she looked over the contract, she found out what the bride had hoped for and was disappointed.
“The final deciding factor was the contract. Everything we had to do was written across 14 pages, front and back. Just like not getting pregnant, we had to attend meetings and events and communicate constantly. Please,” said the bridesmaid.
In addition to this requirement, bridesmaids are also required to give each bride and groom at least $150 and “some type of expensive alcohol,” as well as pay a $400 bridesmaid fee.
“They're not having a destination wedding; they're having dinner here in a park in our city, at a hotel. I would like you to stay at the hotel.
“I tried to explain that I couldn't afford this, but she said I needed to figure it out. I thought she had lost her bridesmaid, which meant me.” .”
In a follow-up post, the bridesmaid admitted that she is no longer part of the bridal party after quitting.
“I don't do weddings. The bride is angry, but I don't care,” she said.
Her post received more than 640 comments, and many opinions were divided about the drama.
Many described the bride as “an absolute monster,” “brutal” and a “bully.”
Some believed the bridesmaids story was too good to be true, while others revealed they had been personally invited to “psycho weddings like this before”.
“People say this is crazy and fake, but one of my old 'best friends' didn't invite me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding because I didn't aesthetically fit her wedding vision. said one person.
Another person said: “I absolutely believe this could be true. People are crazy and she's clearly a bridezilla. If I were the groom, I'd be running for the hills.”
One person revealed: “I've actually seen quite a few bridezillas who want their bridesmaids to wear colored contacts…so they all look alike, like Barbie dolls. They all have shoulder-length contacts. I had to have that blonde hair.”
Another added: “At that point bridezillas should just buy mannequins and be done with it.”
One person suggested: “Her requests are unreasonable and completely ignored. Contact? Seriously? Why didn't she choose bridesmaids who matched her desired aesthetic? Her desire to hide her tattoos with makeup as much as possible I understand, but other than that it's amazing.”
