The much-awaited Maha Shivratri 2024 will be celebrated across the country on Friday, March 8th. The festival of Shivratri, dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, is celebrated with great grandeur across the country in honor of Lord Shiva, the destroyer of the universe and the most merciful deity.
Shivratri is an event that celebrates the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. In celebration of their divine union, the holy day is celebrated as 'Shiva Night'.

According to the Hindu calendar, Maha Shivratru is celebrated on Chaturdashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Phalgun. This year it will be observed on Friday, March 8, 2024. This event is the most important among the Masikh Shivratris observed every month.

Maha Shivratri brings great enthusiasm and enthusiasm across India
Devotees visit temples of Lord Shiva and offer 'Panchamrit'. It is a mixture of milk, curd, honey, sugar and ghee.
Additionally, the following items are used to worship Lord Shiva – Supari, Loli, Mori, Akshat, Paan, Chandan, Doodhu, Raung, Elaichi, Dahi, Ghee, Parijat, Honey, Datura, Kapur, Bel. Patra.
A mixture of these items is used for 'Jal Visarjan' in Shivling. First, apply Chandan paste on the Shivling, then offer Panchamrit (a mixture of the above ingredients) and Omnama his Shivaay chants.
