SUNY Westchester Community College (WCC) student Monique Souza Costa has been awarded the 2023 Hudson Valley Direct Marketing Association (HVDMA) Scholarship Award. This award is presented annually to an outstanding marketing student in the region. Costa was recognized for his academic excellence, enthusiasm, professionalism, and potential to make a valuable contribution to the marketing industry.
“I am honored and thrilled to receive this wonderful award,” said Costa, who lives in Harrison, New York. “I am grateful for the support of Professor Deirdre Vern, who not only recommended me for this scholarship, but also furthered my passion and knowledge of marketing. I look forward to continuing.”
“Monique embodies the excellence of the students we teach every semester at SUNY WCC,” Vern said. “She is a hard-working student with great potential as a marketer. We hope this scholarship will cover some of the costs for her to continue her education and reach her full potential. I am happy to be able to do so.”
HVDMA is the go-to resource for marketing professionals in the Hudson Valley, connecting, educating, and empowering individuals and businesses in the marketing industry. The scholarship awarded to Costa is in honor of Laura L. Smith and is valued at $1,000.
