For chef-turned-entrepreneur Christian Fischer, hospitality is serious business.
Christian Fischer is a culinary coach, author, and restaurant industry heavyweight. And for him, hospitality is more than just a profession. It was ingrained in him through his experience growing up in Austrian culture. It's about treating everyone, including guests, as family. Genuine warmth means a casual conversation about restaurant recommendations can lead to an invitation to someone's home for dinner.

“Austrian hospitality, that's what we're known for,” he told Restaurant Influencers host Chef Sean Woll of Cali Barbecue Media.
Fisher believes in sharing knowledge efficiently, especially in industries where streamlined processes can have a significant impact. “Complexity is the enemy of execution,” Fisher says, explaining his goal to simplify book writing and other processes for his peers. “We don't want to write of Book.we want to help you with your writing be Because as soon as you complete the first one, you can do more. ”
Culinary Leadership Academy
Fisher's commitment to the well-being of people in the culinary world extends beyond the kitchen. He co-founded Culinary His Leadership Academy in 2014 after experiencing the tragedy of losing his friend to suicide within the industry. This nonprofit initiative aims to provide chefs with essential leadership skills and a supportive community.

Recognizing the common notion that chefs often feel like they need to do everything themselves, Fisher believes in fostering a culture where asking for help is not a weakness. “It's not something you can do alone. And for me, it started with leadership, because how can you manage a kitchen and manage a team if you can't even manage yourself?”
