NARBORTH, Pa. (WPVI) — Narberth police are investigating after someone tagged the side of a Jewish-owned business and scrawled “Free Gaza” in spray paint.
Another business owner discovered it on the wall of an alley adjacent to Nana's Kitchen while taking out the trash. The discovery was made Thursday, but the owners of Nana's Kitchen said they were told by police that it could have been there for up to a week.
On Friday, police were out again with district staff to remove it.
The owner, Gladys Fink Senderovich, is Israeli.
Her daughter Lee said her family includes Israelis Yair Horn, 44, and Eitan Horn, 37, who are currently being held by Hamas.
“I just want to say that no matter who hates us and tries to show us, we are very strong and we are not going to go,” Senderovic said Friday outside the restaurant.
“My mother's personal goal, her life goal, is to provide jobs for everyone to support our community, both our Jewish community and our local community,” Lee added. Ta.
As we were interviewing him, a large group of supporters showed up just in time for lunch to show their support. Once inside, before the meal, I sang Israeli songs to her mother and daughter.
“This is just an expression of anti-Semitism. Some people want to say they're pacifists, but they're not. I'm worried for my family, but we will remain strong,” Gladys said.
