Windward Community College took home Gold and Silver Paragon Awards from the National Marketing and Public Affairs Council (NCMPR) annual conference held in Seattle in March. Over 1,500 entries from 210 community colleges and vocational schools across the country competed and it was significant that he was recognized for his outstanding achievements in design and communication.

The Paragon Gold Award went to “Sofia Kaawa Aweawu Graduation Speech,” which was shot and edited by alumnus Nakoa Campbell, in the social media posting category.Mr. Campbell is also an alumnus. ah West of Oahu Academy for Creative Media is a media specialist that teaches social media classes at Windward. CC.
The Silver Paragon Award went to students Alex Daravan and Abby Worsley for their computer-generated illustration of the “Korean Triplets Stars” illustration for the online Imaginarium Star Show. Windward was one of four national winners CC Projects that won gold NCMPR Received the District 6 Medallion Award in November.
