Cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have become a hot topic in the financial world, offering investors a new way to access digital asset markets. A report from research firm Kaiko highlighted the potential impact that Grayscale's Ethereum Spot ETF could have on the ETH market. As a result, if Grayscale's Ethereum Trust (ETHE) follows the same path as Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), it could lead to significant outflows, estimated at around $110 million.
These predictions are based on observations made when GBTC was converted into an ETF. Indeed, this transition caused significant net outflows of over $6 billion, putting downward pressure on the price of Bitcoin. If a similar outflow were to occur with ETHE, it could put devastating pressure on the price of the cryptocurrency.
