Tauck has unveiled technology that helps travel advisors boost group sales of river cruises.
The technology is enabled by destination content platform Approach Guides and extends Tauck's content experience, pre-built marketing pages that advisors can co-brand and share with clients and prospects.
The latest features allow for a high degree of customization, allowing advisors to add travel details for their specific voyage, including custom sales messages, group pricing, itinerary information, departure dates and prices.
Last September, Tauck introduced Approach Guidesā advisor-centric technology for river cruises, and this latest update builds on what partners have already launched and is targeted specifically at groups.
Tauck is the first river cruise line to partner with Approach Guides, which expanded its technology platform last year to serve travel advisors. Approach Guides works with several suppliers that sell through travel advisors, including Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Explora Journeys and Big Five Tours & Expeditions.
Tuck said demand for group travel, particularly river cruises, had reached “unprecedented” levels in recent years and that further investment in services to help advisers close sales was the right move.
“Our new technology will revolutionize the way our valued travel advisor partners sell this popular category, enabling them to be much more efficient, provide an extra level of service to their customers and generate more revenue,” said Steve Spivack, vice president of global sales and reservations at Tuck.
“Following the broad release of our trade solution in September 2023, Tuck has worked with us to adapt the underlying technology to address the unique requirements of specific categories, particularly groups,” said Jennifer Lazer, co-founder and chief marketing officer at Approach Guide. “What Tuck is offering is the first of its kind, and advisors specializing in groups and those looking to grow their group business will love it.”
