Welcome to logoff. Today, I focus on negotiations between the US and Ukraine. There, new developments have an immediate impact on the war in Europe.
What's the latest? The US has resumed sharing military aid and intelligence news with Ukraine, and the government introduced earlier this month will freeze. Ukraine also approved the US proposal for a ceasefire, although Russia is not critically critical.
What's next? After a meeting between the US and Ukraine, Secretary of State Marco Rubio urged Russia to agree to a ceasefire, saying that Trump will speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin this week ahead of future peace talks.
What is the overall picture of the Ukraine-Russian War?
What did you learn about Trump? This was another example of Trump's trading approach to foreign relations. He first cut off Ukrainian President Voldy Mir Zelensky, insufficiently committed to Trump's peace process, and then restored his tie after he acquiesced. This may result in short-term compliance, but it comes at the expense of the country's reputation as a trusted ally, encouraging US partners to look elsewhere for strategic cooperation.
And so, it's time to log off…
If you're in Washington, DC, or anywhere else getting a spring weather blast, there's nothing I can recommend online as great as watching a new warmth sunset. So give yourself a boon and enjoy it if possible. I really enjoyed this short video about Indian bird sanctuary where you are or if outside is not available. Either way, have a great night. I'll see you here tomorrow.
