Asher Dahlgren, a senior at Springfield Township High School in Windmoor, founded his own social media marketing business in early 2023.
The aptly named Dahlgren Social aims to “positively impact the community and inspire other young entrepreneurs,” says its owner.
Already a CEO at the age of 16, Dahlgren started working as a freelancer for a local real estate agency in 2022. After getting his foot in the door, he began establishing his own brand as an agent.
“I'm a problem solver and love collaborating with other business owners. Entrepreneurship to me is about finding ways to maximize value,” Dahlgren said. “Young people like me are very good at social media, and I was able to actively learn about that knowledge and marketing and target the right audience. It went from there.”
Dalhgren Social currently works with 10 clients, and its roster includes real estate agents, nonprofit organizations, and local businesses such as Avant Apres in Flowertown, Natural Body Essentials in Flowertown, and Fill A Bagel in Jenkintown, Ore. Included (Dahlgren pictured above is Vicki Ard, owner of Fill A Bagel).
The company provides content creation, community management, strategy and analytics to its customers.
“I've always had a knack for digital marketing, which not everyone understands,” he said. “Owners don't have to do it themselves. They can delegate those responsibilities to someone like me.”
