As Acxiom's CIO, Janet is central to guiding the company's information technology (IT) strategy. She has helped advance Acxiom's technology capabilities, encompassing cutting-edge innovations in architecture, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and cybersecurity. Prior to joining Acxiom, Janet held key positions at Electronic Arts, Digital Platforms, where she was Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations, and she also served as her CIO at Esprit de Corp.
Janet's journey from Georgetown University student to technology leader was shaped by the encouragement of her family and the empowerment she received from influential mentors throughout her career. These experiences helped define her strengths, enabled her to turn her professional challenges into opportunities for growth, and greatly influenced her approach to leadership and dedication to teaching. .
An advocate for those underrepresented in the technology industry, Janet has played a key role in creating networking opportunities that have brought great success to this group. She is a founding member of Acxiom's IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Awareness) Council and the award-winning business Her Resource Group (BRG) dedicated to eliminating gender bias in the workplace. She is the co-founder and co-leader of Acxiom Women LEAD. . Janet also supports Acxiom's Pan Asia and LGBTQ+ Business Resource Groups as their executive sponsor. Notably, during her tenure, Axiom has seen a 16% increase in the proportion of women in senior management positions within the company and a 47% increase in women in technology leadership roles since 2021. .
Outside of corporate advocacy and leadership, Janet actively supports young girls' equitable access to STEM education as a board member for organizations such as Girlstart, Girls of Promise, and the National Girls Collaborative Project. Through this work, she mentors and develops the next generation of female technology leaders. Janet also frequently participates in wide-ranging conversations about emerging and evolving topics in technology. Highlighting her expertise in this field, she will lead a panel discussion addressing bias in AI at her Innotech Austin Women in Tech Summit on April 30th.
