The Arkansas Tech University Career Center hosted a campus tour for members of the Arkansas Tech University Board of Governors on Thursday, February 15th.
Chairman Len Cotton of Dardanelle, Vice Chairman Bill Clary of Conway, Secretary Michael Lamoureux of Russellville, Stephanie Duffield of Russellville, and Jim Smith of Fayetteville are offered through the Arkansas Tech University Career Center (ATCC) I learned about all 10 academic programs offered and how to prepare for them. High school students for the workforce and further education.
Directors toured the learning environment for students specializing in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, automotive service technology, and construction technology. ATCC also offers programs in Automation Systems Technology, Certified Nursing Assistant, Computer Engineering/Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement, Culinary Arts, and Health Science Technology.
In 2022-2023, of the 27 secondary career centers in Arkansas, ATCC will lead the state in both number of certificates earned (335) and college credit hours earned (4,489). It came in second place.
ATCC serves more than 800 high school students and is headquartered in Russellville with satellite locations throughout the Arkansas River Basin. According to ATCC's website, the programs at the Arkansas Tech University Career Center “build a well-prepared workforce that leads to high-skilled, high-demand jobs and supports economic development throughout the (Arkansas) River Valley region.” “We are working hard to support.”
ATCC Academic Counselor Hayden Darr and ATU-Ozark Interim President and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Sheila Jacobs led the tour of the Trustees. They were joined by ATU Interim President Dr. Russell Jones and ATU General Counsel Eric Walker.
