Billie Piper has spoken out about the challenges of co-parenting her two children with Laurence Fox, saying it's “very difficult.”
The 41-year-old actress has rarely talked about her divorce from Fox in 2016 after nine years of dating, but now she's getting honest about the struggles of raising her two children, ages 11 and 15. revealed.
Fox, known for its anti-woke stance, has recently been at the center of controversy, including being suspended from GB News for making “misogynistic” comments about female journalists.
In an interview with British Vogue, Piper acknowledged the difficulty of co-parenting amidst the Fox controversy.
“I've had to make choices, and divorce speaks for itself. At least, it should,” she said.
Piper said Fox's family, especially her sister Lydia Fox and her husband Richard Ayoade, may have a different view of Fox than she does.
She emphasized the importance of children's privacy and individuality, saying, “They have the right to develop their own identities.”
The interview, published online on Friday, came just days before the High Court's ruling that Foxx defamed the pair on social media by calling them “pedophiles.”

When asked how she deals with the drama involving Fox, Piper said, “I keep a strict routine with my kids to be consistent. I keep them close. is all I can do.”
The actress and singer, best known for her role as Rose Tyler on Doctor Who, also noted that she asks friends and family not to bring up Fox-related topics.
“Sometimes you have to say, 'Please, don't bring this to me now or ever.'”
Looking back on the experience, Piper said she felt stronger.

“I've found that I have great resilience that I didn't know I had,” she said.
“I had to learn the hard way that you can only control yourself and your reactions to things. It's really hard. I hate it.”
