Blackbook Bar & Kitchen was named one of America's top 15 local nightlife spots by Entrepreneur, the nation's leading publication for small businesses. To create the annual list of America's Favorite Mom & Pop Shops, editors analyzed more than 100 reviews, including ratings, foot traffic, repeat visits, customer photos, and even the number of people who left tips. We looked at the data points.
Black Book shares the honor with 14 other independent establishments across the United States, including Franklin Hall in Washington, D.C., Manhattan Project in Dallas, Texas, and Lake Effect Cocktail Bar in Salt Lake City, Utah. Blackbook has previously been recognized by Eater LA, US News & World Report, and British culture magazine Suitcase. This will be the company's first domestic listing.
“It's both rewarding and humbling to see our team's hard work and dedication recognized on a national scale,” said Black Book owner Dean Lavin. “It shows what can happen when you approach your work with love.”
Also known for its free craft cocktails and menu of delicious, regionally inspired American cuisine, Blackbook is a cozy watering hole for local patrons and a must-visit spot for out-of-town visitors. We have established a reputation as a store. Visit the birthplace of Palm Springs-style nachos.
About black book
Blackbook was founded in 2017 as an inclusive bar in Plum Springs' LGBTQ+ Arena District. Since then, it's become one of Palm Springs' favorite places to eat, drink, and feel welcome. The bar boasts original cocktails and a collection of over 450 whiskeys, while the Little Kitchen serves Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, burgers, wings, and a variety of sandwiches and salads. The bar's name comes from the Nevada Gaming Commission's “Black Book,” a blacklist of people banned from casinos. Everyone is welcome on this Blackbook.
