busy phillips She's moving on with her life and getting rid of things she no longer needs in a grand old-fashioned garage sale.
She appeared in a memorable look at Christian Siriano's fall/winter 2024 fashion show at New York City's Plaza Hotel on Thursday, and spoke to ET's Rachel Smith about her relationship. Her ex-boyfriend, Mark Silversteinthey moved forward together and started selling off things they no longer needed (and for a good cause).
“Ever since my ex-husband and I moved from Los Angeles to New York, we had basically all of our stuff in storage. We had so much of our stuff in storage that we thought, 'It's time to let go.' I was like, 'Yeah,''' Phillips said. “So Cure Thrift is having a big garage sale, and I took advantage of the opportunity to clean out my closet, too.”
According to Phillips, his best friend was Michelle Williams “We've also thrown in some items for donation,” and a portion of the proceeds will go to women's reproductive rights organizations.
Phillips and Silverstein, who married in June 2007, have two children, Birdie Lee, 15, and Cricket Pearl, 10. The two announced their separation in 2022 and have strived to maintain an amicable relationship for the sake of their children.
While a pair They work together so there are no disputes. As for the garage sale, Phillips admits that the relationship between the former lovers has been predictably rocky and smooth sailing.
“Basically, I think we both understood that we made a promise to each other and to our children,” she shared, adding that while “some of the promises are different,” “we made a promise to each other and to our children.” The part of the promise “to grow together” remains unchanged.
“Being able to communicate is important and necessary,” she added. “And we weren't going to let any hurt feelings on our part affect how we attended what is essentially a family.”
Meanwhile, before the garage sale started, Phillips was in the Big Apple enjoying a night out at one of the city's most stylish fashion shows.
“I love Christian. I love coming to this show,” Phillips exclaimed. “Every time I'm invited, I say yes.”
“He makes women feel like they are the most beautiful,” she added. ”[The] The sexiest, most powerful version of yourself. ”
