Community College of Rhode Island has named Kelly Ann Wright as its new director of marketing and communications.
Mr. Wright has over 20 years of experience in marketing and advertising and brings valuable knowledge and expertise to the University. In her new role, she will be responsible for modernizing CCRI's brand identity, expanding its reach, increasing enrollment, and fostering stakeholder and community engagement.
Mr. Wright is excited to join the university's mission to improve access and create educational opportunities for all Rhode Islanders while strengthening the state's workforce and generating economic impact. He said he would do his best.

She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Notre Dame, and has held senior positions at prestigious organizations including Morgan Stanley, NYSE Euronext, and Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
From 2020 to 2023, Wright served as chief marketing officer for the Rhode Island Airport Authority, where he was responsible for increasing the airport's regional presence, improving air service, redeveloping the RIAC website, and implementing a rebranding and name change. He played a central role in supervision. Utilize advertising platforms to significantly increase your in-flight flights. Mr. Wright also led a video project to highlight and unite local dignitaries and the community in celebration of the airport's history and his 90th anniversary.
At Morgan Stanley, Mr. Wright served as the company's first vice president, brand marketing manager, leading efforts to revitalize the brand and transform its image from a big blue bank to a more socially and people-oriented bank. As a marketing consultant for Ricciardi Group, she contributed to the company's meteoric rise as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States, and has been featured in Inc Magazine, the Financial Times, and Focus on Emerging Entrepreneurs.
