The Fountain Hills Farmers Market will host the first of three Entrepreneurial Markets for Kids event this year on Wednesday, March 13th.
According to a press release from Fountain Hills Farmers Market organizer Betsy Hess, more than 10 local Fountain Hills families with children (ages 5 to 16) will set up 50 booths selling everything.
“That could be homemade food or art, hobbies of all kinds, store-bought items, games or services,” she says. “All pitches must be done by the children. Parents are welcome to help with the preparations, but we strongly encourage them to take a step back and let the children pitch and finish the sale.” ”
The nonprofit helps kids learn business through first-hand experience, Hess added.
“We invite the community to join us for a day of shopping, where young entrepreneurs will be showcasing their creations at the market.”
Regular Fountain Hills Farmers Market vendors and additional food trucks will continue to be located on site at either end of Fountain Street.
The Child Entrepreneur Market Tent will be set up to answer all your questions about how others can participate in future markets in Fountain Hills and throughout the Valley.
The Fountain Hills Farmers Market will be held every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting in April at 16831 E. Avenue of the Fountains.
