SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota (Dakota News Now) – Jodi Schwan of SiouxFalls.Business talks about new products from Flyboy Donuts and Fernson Downtown, as well as the opening of their new coffee shop, Daylily.
Flyboy Donuts is the latest company to announce a store in the fast-growing retail center Empire Place.
The store is envisioned as the Sioux Falls flagship, and will be transformed into a nostalgic donut parlor when it opens this spring.
This is Flyboy's fifth store.
Other new additions to Empire Place include Drybar, which specializes in blowouts (essentially washes and hairstyle enhancement options), and Hawaiian Flud Art, an interactive art experience that anyone can do And so on.
The business also includes a retail store with gift items for all ages.
There's very little space left at Empire Place. A deal is in the works to fill the Flyboy building, leaving only two slots remaining between Driver and Hawaii Fluid Art.
Moving downtown, there are several new options available for coffee shops.
Daylily Coffee has opened on E. 8th Street, east of 8th Avenue and the Railroad Center.
This locally owned shop specializes in beans from farmers around the world, and also sells pastries that change seasonally.
The 100-year-old building also has a flower shop, which is scheduled to open in time for Valentine's Day.
And if you head a little further south of downtown, you'll quickly find reasons to find Farnson all day long.
Typically opening later in the day, customers will be able to purchase coffee and tea drinks along with Looks Bakehouse treats as soon as mid-morning, before Wagoo Burger begins to open for lunch.
The coffee shop is scheduled to open next Tuesday and will be open Tuesday through Sunday.
