Today is one of those days when Ghanaian entrepreneurs can eat you up to the hilt.ah
Last year, Addwillschocolateshake took a big step forward during the Chocolate Week celebrations held by Cocoaboard at Tette Quarshie Interchange.
At least 8 out of 10 people who sampled our drinks purchased them, and we sold out of our chocolate drinks in stock, staying out overnight to produce additional new batches. (Over 3000 bottles) We are and still are the only Ghanaian small and medium-sized company that manufactures natural cocoa-based chocolate drinks in Ghana.
So, four weeks ago, when I was asked to speak with Cocoa Board's management team in preparation for its launch from February 8th to 14th of this year. We were asked to have enough stock for a week, so we needed to produce so that there would be no shortages during the event. Additional production will be made for wholesalers and general customers.
And on the morning of Thursday, February 8th, after launching and promoting the program, you canceled the venue of the program from Tetteh Interchange in Chocolate City to Cocoa House for some reason.
Why go through all this headache when you know your budget isn't ready? Many small and medium-sized enterprises in the cocoa value chain are preparing for this and are being affected.
It was really painful to see that due to organizational turmoil, we were being considered to sell more than 6000 drinks within a limited period of time. To be honest, I'm so disappointed that I just hope for the best.
