Funded by a $2.1 million Title III grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the 360 Institute is working to:
- Increase first-time student persistence and retention and achieve higher graduation rates.
- In partnership with Temple University's Hope Center, students can address basic needs concerns and receive coaching support, as well as access to a student basic needs assessment. This led the university to relocate its Student Support and Resource Center and food pantry to a larger, more visible location. space on campus.

Since the 360 Institute began in fall 2021, more than 200 students have participated. Each semester, each individual takes freshman seminar classes taught by her 360 academic advisors in the first semester. Students also participate in financial literacy events, meet individually with an instructor/adviser once a month, and meet individually with a career specialist twice during the semester.
