Two Texas Tech basketball players were named to the all-conference team Sunday.
Sophomore guards Pop Isaacs and Darrion Williams were each selected to the All-Big 12 third team by a vote of the league's coaches. Isaacs and Williams helped this year's Red Raiders (22-9, 11-7) finish tied for third in the Big 12 Conference standings.
Isaacs leads the team with an average of 16.0 points per game. He was previously named the conference's Player of the Week in January. Williams averaged 11.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game. The highlight of his season came in Texas Tech's 79-50 win over the University of Kansas, in which Williams scored a career-high 30 points on 12-of-12 shooting, setting a program and conference record. With this performance, he won the AP National Player of the Week award.
