Alyssa Farrah Griffin shared her “sexist” views on parenting on This Morning's show. sceneryJoy Behar was shocked.
The Hot Topics panel was discussing an advice column posted by a father who said he expected his 20-year-old daughter to sleep in a separate room when her boyfriend came over. On the other hand, her mother asked her husband to face the reality that she was practically living with her boyfriend while her daughter was studying abroad, and she urged him to let her live with him.
Sunny Hostin was the first to jump in, admitting that when her son first asked her to live under his roof with his girlfriend when he was 18, she turned him down. But now that he's 21, she said she's “conflicted” and she's “praying.”
“Sunny, just let it go and leave it to God,” Behar joked.
Unlike his other co-hosts, Griffin doesn't have any children yet. But that didn't stop her from sharing how she would feel in the same situation.
“I have this weird instinct that feels very sexist and I don't mind my son being with me when he's older, but I never want my daughter to do that,” she said. Told. “I don't know why and I know it's not right, but I can't imagine letting her daughter have sex in my house.”
Behar shot back almost immediately: “That's ridiculous!” oh my god. You're saying things like that at this age! ? ”
Griffin agreed that his thought process was “weird” and joked that he was “programmed wrong.” A former White House official said she was worried that if she let a man stay at her house, his daughter would become pregnant.
“Well, you told her to use birth control,” Behar replied. “That doesn't mean she's different from the boy.”
But Sarah Haines seemed to nod in agreement with Griffin. She eventually pointed out that the person in the advice column “also said that there are certain gender channels that should be protected.”
