American comedian Larry David has revealed that he lost a lot of money because part of his FTX Super Bowl commercial salary was in cryptocurrency.
Larry David, who was portrayed as a crypto skeptic in Super Bowl ads, is now trading with the now-defunct FTX, whose founder Sam Bankman Fried is facing serious legal issues. He calls himself a “stupid” for what he does.
in interview David told The Associated Press that FTX and its disgraced founder, Sam Bankman Fried, lost “a lot of money” as things went sour. He currently faces up to 100 years in prison on multiple charges. David also added that he has sought advice from his friends who are familiar with cryptocurrencies and have assured him that it is legal.
“I asked people who know about this, my friends, 'Should I do this?' Is there anything wrong with me doing this? Is this okay? They said, 'Should I do this?' I said, āYes, this is totally trending up.ā It's okay, just try it. So, like an idiot, I did it. ā
