Manchester United staff were already concerned about Marcus Rashford's partying lifestyle in the autumn of 2021, according to reports.
The England forward came under fire last week for missing training on Friday after spending two nights in Belfast.
Rashford, 26, told United he was feeling unwell but team-mates were furious after it emerged he had been partying until 3am at a nightclub.
Man United subsequently issued a statement on Monday saying Rashford had “taken responsibility”, but the player has been criticized by fans and pundits for his actions.
According to The Sun, the latest episode regarding Rashford comes as no surprise to Man United staff, who were concerned about his night out as early as 2021.
The report adds that the Red Devils feared Rashford after seeing him enjoying “boozy” nights and “raucous house parties”.
The paper said former United star Wayne Rooney had previously spoken about his relationship with drink early in his career and decided to contact Rashford to offer advice.
Meanwhile, other club legends including David Beckham and Rio Ferdinand also put their heads together for Rashford.
The players were contacted after United staff became concerned by a “series of alarming allegations” about Rashford's behavior.
Mail Sport reported on Tuesday that the club were prepared to offer the player counseling following his “12-hour tequila bender'' in Belfast.
The 26-year-old is in contention to return for Thursday night's Premier League game against Wolves after taking responsibility for the breach in a meeting with manager Erik ten Hag and director of football John Murtagh.
There are concerns about Rashford's dramatic decline in form this season, with former Premier League strikers Chris Sutton and Alan Shearer expressing alarm over revelations surrounding a 12-hour tequila binge in Belfast.
This is the second time this season he has offended Ten Hag by going to a nightclub.
