As the world eagerly awaits Super Bowl III, which begins February 11th in Las Vegas, fans will gather at bars, parties or on their couches to watch the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs battle it out for the championship.
But the two lucky fans will have very different experiences. They will spend the night before the Super Bowl inside Allegiant Stadium and have the sleepover experience of a lifetime.
Jametta Baden and her son Chance Mack of Atlanta, Georgia, winners of Courtyard by Marriott's Ultimate Upgrade Contest, were inside the stadium Saturday night before a big game. It will be put up and you will be able to watch the spectacle. Before anyone else.
“It's very surreal. I'm just grateful,” Baden told local media. KTNV. “I'm looking forward to waking up in the morning and seeing the stadium. It's going to be surreal.”
Mack is the founder of Unforgettable Soles, a nonprofit that provides shoes to underprivileged communities around Atlanta, and Burden is known for his volunteer work around the community.
To make the deal even sweeter, the suite was handed over to the pair by star running back Bijan Robinson of their favorite NFL team, the Atlanta Falcons.
“I've always said Atlanta has the best stadium in the NFL, [Allegiant] It's really cool,” Baden said. “This stadium is really Las Vegas.”
How much do Super Bowl tickets cost?
Baden and Mack won't be able to remain in the main event, but thousands of fans are betting unprecedented amounts of money to get tickets.
The average price for Super Bowl LVIII tickets this week hit $9,800, up 70% from last year's matchup and the highest average price ever for the NFL's biggest game, according to new data from TickPick.
As of Thursday afternoon, the cheapest ticket on Ticketmaster was $6,500.
This will be the first time the Super Bowl will be held at Allegiant Stadium, which officially opened in the summer of 2020.
