Two artificial intelligence (AI)-focused altcoins are surging as AI research firm OpenAI rolls out a new text-to-video project.
In a new thread, tech giant OpenAI present Launch of Sora, a new model that can generate detailed high-resolution videos based on text prompts.
“Introducing Sora, a text-to-video conversion model. Sora creates videos up to 60 seconds long featuring highly detailed scenes, complex camera movements, and multiple characters with vivid emotions. You can create one.”
According to OpenAI's website, Sora can also generate videos from still images.
News of this announcement sent two AI-related digital assets soaring: decentralized video streaming network Livepeer (LPT) and blockchain-based marketplace for AI services SingularityNET (AGIX).
LPT rose from a low of $7.96 on February 15th to $14.64 just one day later, an astounding 83.9% gain, while AGIX rose from a low of $0.318 on February 15th to a high of $0.418. It rose by 31.4%. Same time frame.
Both crypto assets have since rebounded in value and are trading at $14.32 and $0.384, respectively, at the time of writing.
In an accompanying announcement, Livepeer To tell As part of its AI video initiative, the company is working to incorporate text-to-video conversion technology into its network in the coming months, but exact dates and details have not been disclosed.
