June 11, 2024 – Outside Brands has appointed Matthew McKee as its new marketing director and Madeline Cox as its new marketing manager.
McKee is a traditionally trained marketer from Chicago, Illinois, who comes to Outside Brands with over 30 years of experience in advertising and marketing. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of FAS, a hybrid management consulting firm/advertising agency that he founded in 2014. Previously, he held leadership positions at various Chicago-based advertising firms and was Marketing Director at Outside Magazine (not affiliated with Outside Brands). McKee is a graduate of the University of New Mexico and DePaul University, and has been a visiting lecturer at various schools, including Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He has been married to his wife, Lani, for 27 years and is the father of Calvin, a U.S. Army First Lieutenant who will graduate from West Point Military Academy in 2022.
Originally from Hudson, Ohio, Madeline Cox spent many summers and spring breaks on Hilton Head Island, creating treasured memories with family and friends. These formative experiences inspired her to pursue further opportunities in the Lowcountry region. Madeline graduated from the University of South Carolina Beaufort with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Her professional history includes positions with local organizations such as Sea Pines Resort, 9Rooftops, Palmetto Bluff, and more recently with the Outside Foundation and Outside Brands.
