Paris Hilton is usually too busy living her best life or vacationing in the middle of raging wildfires to take parenting advice from strangers on the internet. But after a video of the heir's 16-month-old son, Phoenix, went viral for all the wrong reasons, the mother of two issued the closest thing to an apology you'll likely hear from a Hilton descendant: “Oops!”
Over Memorial Day weekend, the 43-year-old shared a TikTok video of herself holding her son in a pool, captioning the clip, “Adventures with Baby P.” Though he can't speak baby language, Baby P looked very content splashing around in his mommy's arms. Nonetheless, one commenter pointed out that Phoenix's life jacket may have been upside down, writing, “Mama, advice from a puddle jumper mom, I think it's upside down. But I love this video. Pure fun.” In a brilliant example of how to give constructive criticism, the fan managed to get Hilton's attention, who responded on Monday, acknowledging her parenting failings in public.
“Oops! Thank you!” Hilton wrote. “I never took him out of my arms. I thought it was upside down too and told the person I bought it from and they said I was right. But thank you so much for letting me know.”
To all HR leaders around the world, I encourage you to teach your future juniors the “case study of the backward-facing life jacket.” this That's an effective way to give feedback. I'll ignore the part where Hilton shifts the blame, but at least she listens to the “puddle jumping mom.”[s]As we've said before, the socialite seems to be enjoying her “momhood” by getting motherly advice from strangers.
