Despite being one of the biggest stars in the world, Penelope Cruz keeps her and husband Javier Bardem's family life as private as possible. Many people don't even know they have two children, even though she welcomed them ten years ago, but there's a special reason for that.
In a recent interview with Elle Spain, Cruz spoke about her and Bardem's “sacred rules” regarding their children. Specifically, she's talking about the rules she and Bardem have for raising their children as two A-listers, which includes keeping them out of the public eye as much as possible.

“I have a sacred rule: I don't talk about them,” she said, revealing why she and Bardem rarely, if ever, talk about their family of four. Ta.
She further added, “If one day they get a public-facing job, they will have to learn how to deal with it. But now is not the time, they are the only two people we will protect at all costs.” It’s a child.”

Being a mother is the number one priority in my life.”
