ULI Southwest Florida Announces Vision Awards Event and Calls for Nominations
The Urban Land Institute of Southwest Florida announced its first annual Vision Awards event, recognizing the local region's top leaders and best projects that exemplify ULI's commitment to responsibility in land use and development.
These honorees are the people and projects that set industry standards, improve communities, and guide the future.
The ULI Southwest Florida Vision Awards, scheduled to be held on Wednesday, May 15th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Miromar Lakes Golf & Beach Club, will bring together industry leaders to highlight the positive impacts on the region. We recognize visionary initiatives that have made an impact.
At the luncheon, the ULI Southwest Florida Regional Council will honor Barron Collier Companies with the 2024 Corporate Legacy Award, recognizing its consistent dedication to excellence, innovation and community involvement.
Nominations are now being accepted for the ULI Southwest Florida Vision Award, and we welcome applications from individuals, organizations, and teams who have contributed to advancing responsible land use and development practices.
Nomination categories include Project of the Year and Young Leader of the Year, and the deadline for submissions is Friday, March 29th.
Table sponsorships are available for $500 to $1,000, and individual tickets range from $60 to $85.

Christopher Alan Holmes promotes Gilkey to director of sales and marketing
Christopher Alan Homes has promoted Carlos Gilkey to director of sales and marketing. In his new role, Mr. Gilkey will be responsible for leading sales and marketing efforts and developing strategies to drive revenue and support home sales.
Gilkey first joined Christopher Allan Homes in 2018 as a sales representative. He has his 10 years of experience in the construction and home construction industry. Gilkey holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Seagate Development Group has named Dale Evans chief operating officer (COO), adding a new role to the company's expanding leadership team. Mr. Evans will play a pivotal role as COO, supporting all team members and leading Seagate's operations to improve the overall client experience.
Mr. Evans has over 30 years of broad-based experience in the technology manufacturing, pharmaceutical wholesale, retail and government industries, with an expertise in strategy development and process optimization.
