A popular cottage on Chautauqua Lake has changed hands, but the name remains the same.

The Post-Journal and Observer analyze real estate sales in Chautauqua County, most recently looking at transactions from Nov. 13 to 20.

Irwin Bay Cottages and Vacation Rentals, LLC of Mayville sold 5090 W. Lake Road, Chautauqua Town, to Irwin Bay Cottages, LLC of Mayville for $950,000.

On November 18, Irwin Bay Cottages announced in a Facebook post that new ownership had been found. “As the sun sets on one beautiful chapter, it rises on another. We are delighted to introduce ourselves as the new custodians of the cherished Irwin Bay Cottages heritage. We are Newell It is our home and we are honored to carry on the legacy that Julie has lovingly nurtured over the years,” they wrote.

Also during this period, 423-427 Central Avenue, LLC of Tonawanda sold 423-427 Central Avenue, LLC of Dunkirk to 427 Central, LLC of East Aurora for $200,000. Alan B. Steinberg has signed on as manager of 423-427 Central Ave., LLC. In early 2023, Steinberg sold the Colburn block on Central Avenue in Dunkirk and the former Carriage House warehouse in Fredonia.

Deborah Ferrer Design Studio is located at 423 Central Ave. Business began on November 17th, the same day as the sale. Ferrer has worked in the construction industry for more than 20 years and specializes in residential kitchen and bathroom design, according to the design studio's website.

Leghicie Lashes, located at 427 Central Avenue in Dunkirk, is an eyelash salon. The grand opening took place on April 20, 2023. Before Leghicie Lashes, it was the location of Studio Beauty Salon.

Including the transactions mentioned above, there were nine sales of $250,000 or more between November 11th and 20th. The remaining top sellers are as follows:

— 5 Merrill Ave., Chautauqua Institute, Town of Chautauqua, sold for $500,000.
