Cedar Rapids, Iowa, February 13, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Alliant Energy (NASDAQ: LNT) today announced that Terry Kouba, president of Alliant Energy's Iowa energy company, will retire effective May 1, 2024. The Board of Directors Appointed Mr. Mayuri (May) Mr. Farlinger will succeed Mr. Kouba as president of Alliant Energy's Iowa energy company, effective May 1, 2024, and will also serve as vice president of operations.

Farlinger joined Alliant Energy in 2004 as an intern. Since then, she has held a series of positions of increasing responsibility across the company, including positions in finance, audit, regulatory, account management, field engineering, customer renewable energy, revenue management and operations. . Most recently, she served as Vice President of Customer and Community Engagement for the State of Iowa.

In his role as president, Mr. Farlinger will have overall responsibility for the performance of Alliant Energy's Iowa energy company, including responsibility for growing Alliant Energy's customer base in Iowa. This includes leading the company's economic development, community engagement, and account management groups. He will also continue to provide leadership and lead regulatory activities and initiatives that support Iowa's electricity and natural gas customers. Mr. Farlinger is also responsible for directing and implementing the day-to-day delivery of gas and electric services and working with the company's Safety Blue Hat program throughout the state. She and her team maintain a customer-first mindset and are focused on providing safe, reliable and affordable service that customers can rely on every day. She takes great pride in building meaningful relationships and partnerships that help create innovative solutions for her clients.
Ms. Farlinger serves on the boards of United Way of East Central Iowa, Indian Creek Nature Center and Corridor Women's Connect. She earned her bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Iowa and her MBA from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.
