NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) is launching a training and certification program for real estate agents.
From now on, it will be mandatory for new agents who wish to register with RERA to obtain a certificate after training. This condition applies to her RERA agent who is already registered and he will be given one year's time to undergo training and obtain the certificate. If not, the RERA registration will be cancelled.
UP-RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy said agents in the real estate sector were working without any training or qualifications. This is not healthy for the industry and you may notice the negative effects as you hear about the issue. With currently over 6,700 registered agents, agent training and certification is essential to bringing transparency and trust to the real estate sector.
