Wayne Brady has revealed the biggest differences he’s faced raising his two children, who are nearly 20 years apart in age.
in a recent chat people magazine At the Bring Change to Mind Revels & Revelations event in California, the 52-year-old actor opened up about the huge differences he’s experienced in raising his son Val and 21-year-old daughter Maile.
“The energy level in parenting is different. I had Maile when I was 30, so in terms of the physical strength required to run around with Val, I can now live with Val.” [but] It’s a little difficult,” he told the outlet.
It’s pertinent to mention that Brady shares Maile with ex-wife Mandy Taketa and son Val with ex-girlfriend Tina, with whom he dated on and off during the pandemic.
Mr. Brady also noticed that his daughter was better at parenting him.
For those who aren’t familiar, Brady is also the co-parent of Taketa and his partner’s adopted son, Sundance Isamu “Sonny.”
The father-of-two continued: “Mail even laughs, she says. ‘The funny thing about Sonny and Mandy and Val and I is that you two are the people I grew up with. Val and Sonny have parents like this. They’ve been in therapy and worked on themselves and they know how to parent. I grew up with people, and we all grew up together.”
“The biggest difference is that I’m able to parent a little bit more,” Brady added.
